[LEGACY] Exploring Venues in the Topic of Latent Communication Between Language Models

Can two language models coordinate by exchanging their internal state directly instead of collapsing their thinking into text? If so, what are the implications, and how can such communication be extended over different modalities (e.g. image-text, text-image).
